Green Factory “The Responsible Manufacturer”

While companies in India continue to grow from strength to strength, they are increasingly understanding the importance of sustainable business strategies to benefit the business and the planet. While the definition of Green manufacturing varies from company to company, the core of the concept remains consistent and simple: Acting today responsibly to meet the needs of the present, without compromising the ability of people in the future to meet their own needs.

All the companies that have actively integrated sustainability principles into their business and committed to long-term sustainable development, embedding sustainability into its daily operations, need to be rewarded for their commendable efforts.

Through this program, we aspire to assist the organizations unearth the risks, leverage the opportunities and enable them to benchmark their performance against internationally recognized performance standards w.r.t all the essential elements of Green Manufacturing.

Assessment Framework:

‘Green Manufacturing’ framework is built on Kaizen’s“Total Environment Management”, with an objective to evaluate the progress made by organizations towards identifying and implementing Green manufacturing practices in its operations and value chain.By managing and improving environmental performance throughout supply chains, companies can conserve resources, optimize processes, uncover product innovations, save costs, increase productivity and can also promote corporate values.

The assessment model is designed in such a manner that it takes into consideration global sustainability reporting frameworks and would enable an organization to know their maturity levels on sustainable development.Evaluation criteria and checkpoints have been predefined to build objectivity into the assessment process.

Qualifying Criteria for Recognition:

Companies will have to score a minimum of 600/1000 marks to qualify for the recognition. All companies crossing the threshold limit would be recognized with Medallions (Qualifying Scores: Silver-600, Gold-750 & Platinum-900).

Note: Companies interested to apply for this add-on module will have to put tick mark in the application form…Further, the sites would also be required to send the duly filled Self Appraised Assessment Report (SAAR) for Green Manufacturing in addition to SAAR for QuEST.
